Flowers and Blossoms Poems

Flowers and Blossoms Poems

water lilies, cactus flowers, jasmine flowers, lemons, cherry blossoms, loquat flowers, wood sprites, and a dragonfly … what do all of them have in common here on Flowers and Blossoms Poems?
Bingo, you’ve guessed it!
They talk and sing
They all awake in spring
You want to be part of their gracious world enriched with delightful poems and rhymes?
Then what are you waiting for?
By all means … come in and enjoy your stay here!

White

Open your eyes, look into the night
Can you see her turn and dance?
Watch closely for she is a sprite
Ah, there … she’s sending you a glance

Pink

Lo and behold, the princess joined the ball
All dressed in pink with pearls of gold
It’s time to dance across the hall
And let the delightful enchantment unfold

Cactus

Four prickly siblings sitting in a nest
Brooding in a bed with many a thorn
What mischief to do with zeal and zest
When your hand reaches out and feels their scorn

Jasmine

Indistinct whispers softly swaying in the wind
Hidden words untold beneath veils so tender
A delicate scent, a subtle fragrance undimmed
From a graceful blossom that’s all beauty and splendor

Lemon

Amid the crowd there‘s a funny soul
You might find unpalatable and sour on the whole
How true, how true … without dispute
But try your lemonade without the lemon fruit

Cherry Blossom

High on a branch there dwells a folk
It looks as if they just awoke
I came a little closer and was held in awe
Cause sweet cherry blossom is what I saw

Wood Sprite

Hush my child, can you hear the voice singing?
As clear and light as a silver bell ringing
Braids all adorned by flowers so bright
Hush, close your eyes and listen to the wood sprite

Yellow

Her colour gold, her spirit proud
She holds the sceptre like a wand
Her arm is raised, her head unbowed
High she towers above the pond

White and Brown

All shy they shed their coat of fur
So overly timid … no twitch, no stir
Beneath the coat they’re dressed in a white gown
Pretty blossoms and petals of white and brown

Dragonfly

A warrior of old that takes to the sky
His arms strong shields, his body all sword
Now … where do you think he’d turn his eye
If not to the ones that dwell at the ford
