Aladdin and the Secret of the Two Genies

is an untold story from the Arabian Nights.

We all know the story from the Disney movie Aladdin with his monkey Abu, and how he falls in love with Princess Jasmine and how he has to defend himself against the evil Grand Vizier Jafar.
And many of you also know the classic story from One Thousand and One Nights which tells of the urchin Aladdin who was eventually able to overcome the evil plots of two sorcerers with the help of the Genie of the lamp and the Genie of the ring.

In Aladdin and the Secret of the Two Genies, we’ll go back to that part of the tale from the Arabian Nights where Aladdin rubbed the lamp and commanded the Genie to fetch the Roc’s egg, whereupon the Genie became so furious that the hall shook.
In the tale, he angrily asked how Aladdin dared to command him to bring the Roc’s egg and hang it up in the midst of the palace’s dome. And then he fumed and threatened that Aladdin, the princess and the whole palace deserved to be burnt to ashes.

However, we are also told that the Genie finally saw through the sorcerer’s ruse – and that’s how he found out that Aladdin was innocent. So he spared his life and instead warned him of the impostor, whom Aladdin was finally able to slay.
So the Genie actually warned Aladdin and helped him defeat the evil magician … or did he?
But this is exactly where I believe the story took a different turn.

This is the untold story of what happened between Aladdin, The Genie of the lamp, the Genie of the ring and the terrifying Roc …
